Pacific Green technologies recently installed their first ENVI-Marine exhaust gas washing system for the Carrier-Union Maritime.
It is reported that"Westminster" chemical tanker is the first ship equipped with washer according to the the agreement singed in December 2016, and the company plans to buy 10 sets of washing system in the next 18 months.
The chief executive Neil Dr Carmichael of Pacific Green Technologies said, "It is another important milestone in the history of the development of our company.We provide a patent technology in ships line for a long time.Especially the shipping industry are preparing for the implementation of IMO regulations after 2 years." The system has been successfully tested, monitoring and certification for ENVI - Marine pollution discharge performance of the system for "Westminster" ship before shipment.The results show that the system emissions of sulfur content is only equivalent to 0.005- 0.015%, only for the limit of 5-15%.
