On September 28, huisheng haigong announced that it had successfully developed a floating tower solution capable of storing condensate or crude oil. This new type of floating solution adopts the patented technology of huisheng floating tower, which provides an economical and reliable choice for oil and gas development in the deep sea.

The buoyancy tower patent technology was invented by Ed Horton and Lyle Finn and was first applied to the Peruvian Marine project BPZ cx-15 platform in 2012.

Buoyancy tower is a kind of self-installed floating platform which avoids the high installation cost of traditional jacket. In addition,the buoyancy tower could save more cost in deeper water due to the weight of the floating structure and the corresponding construction cost is not subject to the water depth change.Take 150m water depth for example,the total contract cost of the EPC of the buoyancy tower is only 50% of the cost for jacket. At the same time, strengthen the function of storage, due to the new scheme with the traditional "jacket + floating oil storage boat" or "jacket + pipeline" scheme, compared to the new tower of buoyancy scheme can save oil storage barge or oil pipeline construction costs, showed more obvious economic advantages.

Solutions of new type BT could make it enlarged and expanded flexiblely according to different sea situation.The applicative water depth is 300 meters.It can support the weight of 10000 tons of built module. The dry storage capacity of condensate oil or crude oil  is 10000-30000 tons.

In the design of the new type of buoyancy tower, the Cabin structure center of the cylindrical cylinder is the storage tank (hard cabin)and the surrounding pressure cabin and the sea water connect to keep the balance of water pressure. The buoyancy tank on the water surface and the fixed ballast tanks in the bottom make the buoyancy tower maintain permanent stability. The anti-rotation design of suction pile (SCF) can ensure the stability of the system. The analysis data shows that the buoyancy tower shows good dynamic performance in the larger depth.

According to the introduction of Wison Engineering ,the buoyancy tower is a kind of compliant structure with long feature period. In its application scope, the buoyancy tower performs better under deeper water, which can prevent the platform from producing resonant motion under violent wave conditions. So buoyant tower platform can be applied to most of the Marine development and production, such as drilling, production (dry tree), or from the gas compression processing, the stability of crude oil processing, water treatment and water injection operation, power generation and other operation requirements.

The launch solution of a new floating tower has been implemented the commitment to help oil and gas operators to adapt to a lower oil price environment with a more economical alternative solution.
